Kelly Wells Sittig is the Executive Director at the Iowa Cancer Consortium, where she’s been a team member for more than ten years. Kelly loves the energy that comes from people working together in areas they are passionate about and believes that positive interpersonal, team, organizational, and community dynamics are important ingredients for better collaborative outcomes. Kelly’s areas of expertise include facilitation, coalition building, organizational development, and communications. In her spare time Kelly loves to run, read, learn, nap, hangout with her people (and her pup), and laugh.

Kelly Rollins is the Business and Financial Administrator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium. An Illinois native, turned Iowa enthusiast, she has been with the Iowa Cancer Consortium for ten years. At the Consortium, she helps to keep our financial house in order, coordinates membership dues and experiences for the organization, and is a leader in planning and executing the Consortium’s annual meetings across the state. She lives in the corridor with her family and enjoys working out, watching her children play sports, and tacos.

Rachel Schramm, Program Manager

Rachel Schramm is Program Manager for the Iowa Cancer Consortium. She is a lover of all things public health and encouraging local health experts to find leadership positions within their community. At the Consortium, she leads and supports the outreach and communications coordinators, facilitates workgroups, and is in charge of bringing collaborators together to maintain the Iowa Cancer Plan. Rachel currently serves on the board for the Iowa Public Health Association. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching yoga, spending time with her family, and scrolling through Instagram.

Liz Orton, Outreach & Communications Specialist

Liz Orton is the Outreach & Communications Specialist at the Iowa Cancer Consortium. A life-long learner, she loves to listen to peoples’ stories and make connections that result in partnership and positive change. Liz joined the team in 2021 and brings five years of experience in mental health outreach. In her spare time, she is almost always planning her family’s next Disney vacation.

Caroline Powell, Environmental Outreach Coordinator

Caroline Powell is the Environmental Outreach Coordinator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium and the staff lead for the Cancer & the Environment Task Force. Originally from New York City, the CDC’s Public Health Associate Program brought her to the Iowa Cancer Consortium, and she is now an MS student in Agricultural Safety & Health at the University of Iowa. Through her work, she aims to improve environmental and occupational health and safety outreach and communication for equitable disease prevention and health promotion. In her spare time, she is exploring museums, attending concerts, cooking, and planning her next Halloween costume.

Brianna McNulty, Outreach Coordinator

Brianna McNulty is an Outreach Coordinator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium. Although she considers Virginia her home and is a proud Nittany Lion, she is beyond excited to be in Iowa and explore everything the Hawkeye State has to offer. The difficulties brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic and her experience in research while in university solidified her passion for public health, and she is eager to work together with the Consortium and all Iowans to reduce the burden of cancer in the state. Her research experience includes studying vector control methods of mosquito-borne diseases, including dengue virus and Jamestown Canyon Virus in Aedes mosquitoes. When she’s not busy falling down a research rabbit hole, Brianna can be found watching the latest horror movies and exploring local coffee shops.

Brianna is a Public Health Associate through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) through Fall 2025.

 

Megan Hartwig, Rural Community Outreach Coordinator

Megan Hartwig is the Rural Community Outreach Coordinator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium. Megan has a background in public health, disability services, and healthcare administration. Megan brings an eye for detail and a love of working with people, organizations, and systems to help them explore creative solutions. Megan especially loves working with groups and coalitions building and finds it exciting to bring people together to create synergy around a project. Megan is currently in a Masters of Holistic Health program at St. Catherine University and looks forward to graduation in 2025. When Megan isn’t working or working on her thesis she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and pets, traveling, cooking, Pilates, and reading.

Abby Batterson, Communications Coordinator

Abby Batterson is the Communications Coordinator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium. Connecting, learning, and sharing with people is what Abby finds most rewarding. Abby brings over 10 years of social media management, marketing, and brand awareness as well as her work with older adults via the SMP National Resource Center. In her spare time, she is drinking coffee and spending time with her family.
