The Iowa Cancer Consortium will host the annual Iowa Cancer Summit on September 24, 2019 in Ankeny, Iowa. The Summit brings together professionals and advocates from all disciplines and corners of the state to discuss and learn more about the burden of cancer in Iowa. The planning process for this year’s conference is well under-way, and staff are seeking input from members and partners to assist in the development of breakout sessions and a closing keynote presenter or topic.
We have had a few partners e-mail us with topics after the 2018 conference, and our list currently includes searching for speakers on the following topics: cancer energetics, chemo brain, risks of alcohol as related to the development of cancer, living with cancer, financial toxicity, rural/urban cancer disparities, and more!
We want to hear from you! If you have a state or national speaker that you would recommend, or a specific cancer control issue that you would be interested in learning more about, please e-mail your suggestions to [email protected] by June 15, 2019 for consideration.
