2018 - 2022 Iowa Cancer Plan Revision
The 2012-2017 Iowa Cancer Plan will soon be outdated and the Iowa Cancer Consortium is seeking input on the 2018-2022 Cancer Plan revision. The Iowa Cancer Plan is an evidence-based guide that is intended to be used by cancer survivors, citizens, communities, caregivers, volunteers, organiations, public officials and health care professionals to become involved in the statewide effort to reduce the burden of cancer in Iowa.
The 2018-2022 Iowa Cancer Plan will focus on the priorities of:
- Prevention: Whenever possible, prevent cancer from occurring.
- Screening: If cancer does occur, find it in its earliest stages.
- Treatment: Improve the accessibility, availability, and quality of cancer treatment services and programs.
- Quality of Life: Ensure optimal quality of life for people impacted by cancer.
- Health Equity
