Brain Cancer

Cancer of the brain is usually called a brain tumor. Brain tumors fall into two categories:
  • Primary brain tumors begin in the brain, and can start in almost any type of tissue within the brain.
  • Secondary or metastatic brain tumors start in another part of the body and spread to the brain. Secondary/metastatic brain tumors are more common than primary brain tumors.
